Counseling Office

At E. Russell Hicks Middle School, our counseling team is here to guide, support, and inspire students every step of the way. Whether it’s helping with academic planning, building social and emotional skills, or supporting students through life’s challenges, our counselors are dedicated to helping every child succeed.

Our team includes:

• Ms. Howe – 6th Grade Counselor

• Mrs. Hensley – 7th Grade Counselor

• Mrs. Herrold – 8th Grade Counselor

Together, they work to ensure students feel safe, heard, and supported—both in and out of the classroom. They meet with students individually and in groups, partner with families and teachers, and connect students to resources that meet their academic, social, and emotional needs.

The counseling office is a place where students can find encouragement, develop problem-solving skills, explore future goals, and know they have trusted adults who believe in them. Our counselors are here to help students navigate middle school and prepare for a bright future.
